Florida Entrepreneurs Roll Out Tasti Treat

Tampa Bay, Florida is known for its' great beaches, beautiful scenery and as a year-around vacation destination. It is also known for its' warm, humid climate. If you find yourself in western Florida on a toasty day, wouldn't a low-calorie, great tasting frozen desert hit the spot?

So where would one find such a taste treat? Thanks to Florida entrepreneurs Sehera Asgar and Ali Kaderbhai, finding a frozen treat won't be a problem. The pair will eventually be opening 25 Tasti-D-Lite locations in the Tampa Bay area. They plan to blanket the market so customers throughout the area can enjoy over 100 flavors of Tasti-D-Lite frozen desserts.

The launch has been in the planning stages for well over a year. Kaderbhai plans to continue his work as a consulting engineer while his wife, Sehera, will manage the daily operation of their Tasti-D-Lite businesses. According to the husband and wife team, they selected Tasti-D-Lite based on the excellent product and great business model.

Tasti-D-Lite, founded in 1987, has been an overwhelming success in other parts of Florida, and Sehera and Ali expect the same level of success in Tampa Bay. Currently there are Tasti-D-Lite locations along Florida's southeast coast as well as Sarasota and Jacksonville.

Tasti-D-Lite has seen their business grow rapidly in Florida based primarily on word-of-mouth by devotees of the brand. At many locations, customers are lined up day and night to taste their favorite frozen treat. Everything Tasti-D-Lite sells is all natural, contains no artificial sweeteners and is lower in calories, sugar and carbs than other ice cream and frozen yogurt brands.

Tasti-D-Lite began franchising in 2008 and the company has seen the number of locations grow to over 60. The company currently has over 500 locations lined up for the coming years, including the 25 that Sehera and Ali plan to open around Tampa Bay.

Internationally, the company has locations in Mexico and the United Arab Emirates and will open stores in Panama and Australia by the end of this year.
