Coke is probably one of the most secretive company around today. The company has successfully kept their 'original recipe' for more than 100 years. And up until this day, people still curiously wanna know Coke's biggest secret.

This is the reason why a viral news recently made headlines across the globe. Who would not pay attention if your headline reads: "Coke's Original Recipe Revealed."

The 'discovery' of Coke's original recipe actually happened some 30 years ago. A journalist took a photograph of a journal originally owned by John Pemberton, the person who made the original syrup for coke, wherein a list of ingredients under a title "Coca-Cola Improved" were written. The Coke recipe, according to the photograph, consists of the following:

Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP
Citric acid: 3 oz
Caffeine: 1 oz
Sugar: 30 #
Water: 2.5 gal
Lime juice: 2 pints (1 qrt)
Vanilla: 1 oz
Caramel: 1.5 oz or more to color
The secret 7X flavor (use 2 oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup)
Alcohol: 8 oz
Orange oil: 20 drops
Lemon oil: 30 drops
Nutmeg oil: 10 drops
Coriander: 5 drops
Neroli: 10 drops
Cinnamon: 10 drops

However, Coca-Cola denied the recipe when it was first found. Even today, Coke remains in their classic stance on the rumors.
